Patient
Guide
We're honored to take care of you and we're here to guide you every step of the way! This guide will walk you through what to expect before, during, and after your procedure - so you can feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout your experience. From when your surgery is booked to your recovery at home, our team is committed to providing safe, compassionate, and personalized care.
1
Preparing For Surgery
Once your surgeon's office has booked your procedure, you will receive forms through our Patient Portal. Please complete these forms as soon as you receive them.

Our staff and anesthesiologist will call you 1-2 days prior to your surgery to review your health history, go over instructions, and answer your questions.

Unless otherwise instructed by your surgeon, you must fast the night before your surgery - no food or drink after midnight.
As you cannot drive yourself home after a procedure, please arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home. We will need your caretaker's contact information to provide them with pick up instructions.

Our staff will also email you detailed instructions on what to wear, what to bring, and what to leave at home. Please review and contact us with any questions.
2
Day of Surgery
Our team will welcome you when you arrive at ISC. There is non-validated parking in our building and public parking across the street.
Please arrive on time to allow for check-in. Our nurse will take you into a pre-operative room where you will go over additional forms and meet with your surgeon and the anesthesiologist.

You'll then be taken into the operating room for your procedure. Once your surgeon has completed your case, you'll spend 1-2 hours recovering in our PACU. Our team will contact your designated caretaker once you are ready to be discharged.
3
After Your Surgery
Following your surgery, our staff and anesthesiologist will check in with you to monitor your recovery. Follow your post-operative instructions provided by your surgeon's office carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your surgeon immediately.
